To celebrate the first anniversary in 2010, ABC Artists’ Books Cooperative launched a unique set of collectible trading cards printed by Topps, manufacturers of fine baseball cards since 1950. This limited-edition, must-have item features a stellar line-up of international artists. The set of 13 cards presents your favorite on-demand book artists along with up-to-date career stats, all held together with a simple belly band. Cards are printed on acid free, heavy weight card stock in full colour with high gloss lamination to ensure maximum durability. Printed at the international trading card standard size, these golden nuggets will fit snuggly in most trading card albums.

Printed Matter presents the seventh annual NY Art Book Fair, from September 28 to 30, 2012, at MoMA PS1, Long Island City, Queens. A preview will be held on the evening of Thursday, September 27.
Free and open to the public, the NY Art Book Fair is the world’s premier event for artists’ books, catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines presented by more than 200 international presses, booksellers, antiquarians, artists, and independent publishers from over twenty countries.

“I guess maybe I woke up in a cold sweat once and just had this light bulb go off of doing a book of some sort.”
This is how Ed Ruscha, in a 2004 interview, recalled the events that led him to start creating books. The books he started making half a century ago were influential for generations of artists. To honour his contribution to the artist book, members of ABC Artists’ Books Cooperative are launching ABCED in Autumn 2012. ABCED is a multi-volume book project created on the occasion of Ed Ruscha’s 75th birthday, consisting of 33 books by 24 artists. The project will be launched simultaneously in multiple venues on both sides of the Atlantic in the final weeks of September:

Offprint Amsterdam is a new book fair for international publishers, artists and designers who will showcase the best of contemporary art publications. Focusing on independent publishing communities, Offprint is a meeting place for artists, photographers, graphic designers, curators, artistic directors, journalists and collectors alike.

My book Around the World in Eighty Minutes is shortlisted for the Unpublished Dummy Award and included in the exhibition that is held simultaneously at Unseen photo fair.
I am pleased to participate in the C/O Berlin Book Days. 33 international publishers and artists will be introducing their latest publications on the subject of photography. The program includes discussions, seminars, lectures, live presentations, book signings, a photobook slam, a concert, BBQ and a bar.

The first Amsterdam Art/Book Fair will take place on 14 and 15 May, 2011 presenting a high-end international selection of art publications. The fair aims to reflect on the emerging practices and new development in art, through a selection of publishers from 16 countries. Printed matter and digital media edited by independent publishers and artists, magazines and institutions, art schools and graphic design studios are featured in this first edition.
Conferences and talks by keynote speakers, book launches, artist talks and performances will take place during the Amsterdam Art/Book Fair. Guests include Mathieu Copeland, Kenneth Goldsmith, Metahaven, Clive Phillpot, Joachim Schmid, Dan Solbach, Ramaya Tegegne.

Free and open to the public, the fair hosts over 200 international presses, booksellers, antiquarian dealers, artists and publishers from twenty countries, offering the best in contemporary art book publishing.
The NY Art Book Fair includes special project rooms, screenings, book signings, and performances, throughout the weekend. Other events include the third annual Contemporary Artists’ Books Conference, and The Classroom, a curated series of informal conversations between artists, together with readings, workshops and other artist-led events.
